There is cholera in Cameroon at the moment – and we are doing all we can to help reduce the spread of this dreadful disease. Clean drinking water and good sanitation are key to preventing cholera from spreading. Last year we funded a new block of classrooms at Ecole Publique Kalong, together with a new latrine with hand washing facilities. This year we have funded a borehole for clean drinking water at this school, which will be handed over to the community next week. We are pleased to learn that the children at this school are doing well and, with this water supply, they will be staying healthy.
More boreholes will be drilled in other communities in the coming months.
