We are delighted to be able to report that the new science lab at GBHS Sodiko was opened today (8th February 2018).
This bilingual high school is in the Douala sub-division of Littoral Region and, up until today, all the students studying science in the fifth and sixth forms had to travel to another high school 8 Kms away in order to do their practical work. This was very expensive both in terms of cost and time lost in school. The School Principal and the Chair of the PTA agreed that the construction of the lab, complete with a store room for the new equipment and chemicals, was “the best thing that has happened to the school”. They fully expect their school roll, which currently stands at 1,400, to increase significantly.
