The school hall at All Saints Catholic College in Bayelle, Bamenda, was packed with pupils who were buzzing with excitement at the prospect of being able to study in their brand new science lab. The fully equipped lab was handed over to the College in a wonderful ceremony on October 31st 2023. A large classroom had been renovated and completely updated with benches, sinks, science equipment and all the necessary chemicals, reagents etc. to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to Advanced Level.
This is the fourth Science Lab we have been able to fund at High Schools in the NW and the Littoral Regions – and we are so grateful for the continuing support of Gompels Healthcare who have made this, and so many of our other projects, possible.
There has been a recent push across the whole of Cameroon to make the studying of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) a priority and we are proud that we are able to help pupils at High Schools and Colleges, which have never had any facility for Lab work, catch up with their more fortunate contemporaries.
