Fundraising food at Brighstone Primary school

The pupils in Year 6 at Brighstone Primary School are really enjoying working in their brand new classroom – and were concerned to see how children have to put up with terrible conditions at many schools in Cameroon.  They decided to raise some money for BSFA and agreed that food is the way to everyone’s heart!  They set up their African Fayre after school, selling chicken curry wraps, fruit kebabs and sweets dipped into chocolate.  They organised face-painting, an african jewellery stall and a raffle.  It was a brilliant effort and they raised over £100, which will go towards new benches for one of our schools, so that children no longer have to sit on the floor to learn.  Thank you to all the children and staff who made such a great effort.
